Mark Kindt returned to private practice in January 2011 after serving as Senior Litigation Counsel for Novelis Corporation.  His law practice emphasizes environmental law, predominantly Superfund legacy liabilities.  A major focus of his current practice relates to the Lower Passaic River Study Area and the Newark Bay Complex.

During his time with Novelis and earlier with Alcan Aluminum, he worked closely with attorneys John Tillman and Lawrence Salibra on the notable line of U.S. v. Alcan Aluminum cases.  Kindt has also been involved in major insurance recovery actions related to environmental and product liability claims.  Over more than 30 years of practice, Kindt has worked across diverse areas of law and public policy, including testimony before Congress.
